ABOUT JORDAN NAHOLOWAA MURPH
Aloha. My name is Jordan S. Nāholowaʻa Murph and I am a photographer based in San Francisco & Hawaiʻi.
I grew up on the east side of the island of Hawaiʻi, went to boarding school for Hawaiian kids in Honolulu, got to go to college at UH Mānoa, and was the last Lighting & Flash Wizard Technician trained at Sports Illustrated.
My commercial work focuses on sports, portraiture, reportage, and events. My personal work focuses on documenting Native Hawaiian culture and home in general.
I have been a Sports Illustrated contributing photographer since 2007 and was on staff as a Field Photo Editor and Technician from 2014-2017.
In 2013 I created Angel Photo Services, the internal photography department for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and later served as the Team Photographer from 2016-17.
In 2019 I founded PUNA Photographic & Technology, an outsourced cloud photography department and consulting firm for teams, brands, and organizations with a mission to provide low-cost and pro-bono photography, technology, and consulting services to Hawaiian small businesses, community organizations, and non-profits.
My team and I are available for assignments worldwide.
Mahalo & Aloha,
Jordan
